Ingredients:
1/2 lb wild rice
1 qt water
1 tsp salt
3 qt chicken stock
3 qt heavy cream
1/4 lb butter
1/4 lb toasted almonds
3 tbsp flour
1 c carrots
1 c onion
1 c celery
1 t salt
1 pinch white pepper
1/4 lb butter
Preparation:
Cook rice in water according to package (with salt) -set aside. Sautee carrots, onion, celery in butter then add flour. Combine rice, heavy cream, chicken stock, almonds, and seasoning with vegetables. Simmer 1 hour finish with butter
