Rump Roast Delight

Print This Recipe
If you are a fan of moist, flavorful roast beef sandwiches, this will undoubtedly be a favorite recipe of yours. I love to make this on a cool, autumn day as the oven heats my home and the mouthwatering aroma makes everyone ask “When is dinner going to be ready?”.

Ingredients:

1/2 package dry onion soup mix
3 to 4 pound rump roast
3 beef bouillon cubes
garlic salt
32 ounces water

Preparation:

Put roast in roaster and cover liberally with garlic salt. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours ar 350 degrees. While the roast is cooking, combine 1/2 package of dry onion soup mix, water, 3 beef bouillon cubes and let stand until the cubes are melted. Pour over meat. Cover and bake 2 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. Take roast out of juices. Cool 1 hour. Slice very thin and return meat to the juice. (Juice should cover meat) Cook another hour at 350 degrees. Serve on large hamburger buns. This is great served with French fries!
