Bingley the Neurotic is not just a window-licking, short bus riding canine. He’s actually very smart and has been easy to train.

Thankfully he was born with a fondness for American cheese slices because he will do almost anything for bits of the processed crap.

In this little clip, Elly demonstrates his ability to play dead when someone points their finger and says “Bang!” Normally he drops to the ground and holds perfectly still except for his wagging tail, which has a mind of its own and tends to ruin the dead effect.

The kids’ return to school has caused Bingley the Neurotic considerable despair as he now sits at the window, muscles convulsing, waiting the yellow Horrible to bring back his people.

Nothing, including crisp bacon, will tempt him away from his spot on the ledge.

Which makes me look bad because I would push my children over a ledge if it meant I could have their bacon.
