On Friday, August 29, my girlfriend’s 14 year old son, Brodie, was in an ATV accident in Wisconsin and had to be airlifted to a hospital in St. Paul, MN, because of head injuries he sustained when hitting a tree.
Brodie suffered complex fractures to his left orbital bone as well as a subdermal hematoma in his brain. You can read Brodie’s progress here.
Please pray for this family as they go through the slow process of healing. Brodie is showing remarkable progress since the accident, communicating and even making an occasional joke, but his family could use some encouragement and prayer so please feel free to leave a message in their guestbook.

Aw, that’s so very sad. These are the kinds of things all of us parents hope never happen. I’m stopping over to their site now.

Neen, thank you for such a nice posting on Brodie. You broke your “taking a break till Sept. 2″ rule just for my sugar and butter boy. What a treat.
Jeff, thank you for checking on his updates, and posting on his guestbook. My goodness, such kindness. I guess what Jennine says about you guys is true. I thought she was just spinning tales again. :-)
Lois, how very sweet to have put him on your prayer list. I can’t tell you how that touches my heart. Brodie has been so prayed for. God is just plain showing off at this point to let everyone know that when we pray and move His heart, He listens, He is moved with compassion, and He answers. The recovery process has been hand signed by Jesus himself. We are incredible grateful.
Thank you all so much.

I’m sorry to hear about Brodie, but glad that his recovery has gotten off to a good start.
I will definitely pray for the family. And I’ll ask my Bible study to do the same - every prayer counts.
