A study conducted by scientists at Stony Brook University and reported in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA, showed that mice who sat on a vibrating platform reduced their body fat by 27% versus the mice who sat on a stationary platform.
The researchers speculate that the vibrations inhibited the formation of fat cells from stem cells. The researchers also believe their work could lead to a non-strenuous, drug-free method for control of obesity.
I’m all for that.
In fact, I shall no longer complain about living on a gravel road since driving on it will apparently lead me to weight loss city.

If your theory is correct, then living on a Semi truck driven dirt road for 10 years has kept me from being right around 400 pounds. Thank you Lord. I had no idea just how many blessings I should have been counting!

Kiki and Kellie? My minivan seats nine. Well, legally it seats seven but that’s beside the point. It also has crappy shocks and struts.
So I’m thinking that we all just pack in and go around the block a few hundred times. The pounds will just fall off!
And to celebrate, we’ll go to Dairy Queen for a Banana Cream Pie blizzard. Because that’s how I celebrate weight loss.
Are ya with me?

If you sneak out late at night, you will find your mechanic secretly raking grooves into your gravel road. It’s true, they do that.

I’ve actually seen mechanics at night! We’ve gone through many cars in ten years.
