It has long been my goal to write for a living, to earn money doing something I enjoy so much that my brain would never register it as being work. Not unlike if someone paid me to bathe my newborn baby or to taste-test Godiva chocolate.
When the phone rang this afternoon and the voice on the other end said “We’d like to offer you the position.” I immediately grabbed a brown bag and began breathing into it. ”Oh, and we want to pay you more than we originally discussed and you need to call your editor for your assignments.”
My editor. My assignments.
Fainting is so unprofessional. Bragging is not.
I’m getting paid to write! Not only that, I’m getting paid to take pictures. I’m a Reporter Slash Photographer just like Peter Parker only female and without super powers. Unless you consider incandescent happiness a super power.

Hey welcome back. Just to catch up, Bill caught that flu, and ended up with pnemonia in the hospitol where he found out he had diabetes. So that was good to know.
I always thought it was wierd that they warn pregnant women to avoid eating tuna, when kid’s vaccines were at least one hundred times more concentrated with mercury.
And finally, congratulations on your new job. Is it with a local publication? Later, rick

BJ- Thank you! It’s pretty exciting when a dream comes true.
Shellie- LOL THANK YOU! Were you a cheerleader in high school? ‘Cause I’m thinking you were like the best one EVER! This is almost as good as Stacy turning 40.
Jeff- Thank you! I’ll be sure to post a link or two in the future.
Rick- It makes me sick to think of Bill being in the hospital because in my mind he’s like John Wayne strong and nothing can slow the man down. It is good they discovered the diabetes though. In that way it was a blessing. And yes, it is the local newspaper which covers a good portion of east central MN. I wonder when I’ll stop giggling out loud when I think about the whole deal.
Good to hear from you!
