Connection Established

After being away for nearly two months, I have managed to reemerge from the population of those who are internetless and plain old “too busy” with the non-virtual world to have time to blog.

Translation: we couldn’t afford to keep the internet connection after I was sick with influenza for the entire month of March and had to say goodbye to my daycare family who was the sole reason I could afford the luxury of connecting to the world wide web.

I spent March recovering in bed which meant I spent April trying to reorganize a home which had been without a wife and mother the entire time. You ladies know what I mean. I won’t go into the ugly details. Let’s just say that I had no idea the base of a toilet could grow a mushroom.

I came out of that nasty illness with a new enthusiasm for my role in this home. It feels so good to scrub a floor and hang clothes on the line to dry in the sun. I’m itchy to plant our garden and spend an afternoon pulling weeds. I am so thankful to have energy again! God bless those who are bound to a bed in pain and too weak to sit upright.

For those who wondered what happened to me, I apologize for not sending word ahead of time. I can’t wait to catch up on your blogs!

Well then… let me be the first to welcome you back. I was hoping you would come back sometime soon. I’m sorry you were sick - but I’m glad all is well (better?) now.

Be careful if you stop by my place. I heard it’s getting kinda raunchy over there.

Anyway, I’m glad you popped back in now so I could wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day!!!!!!

Take care, and “see” you soon…

Oh, and just one word of advice… DON’T EAT THE SHROOMS!

    p.s. cool template :-)

It’s good to see ya, Jeff! It’s good to be seen, too. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Did anyone have a television appearance while I was gone? Any more broken bones? How IS his arm anyway?

Don’t worry about the schroom… I sent it to Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs and he’s considering coming out should I ever have another extended illness again.

Happy Mother’s Day to Char and Lois!!

Quote of the Month
Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare. They are consumed in twelve minutes. Half-times take twelve minutes. This is not coincidence. ~ Erma Bombeck
